MSU College of Engineering Virtual Career Fair
Just
in case you haven't seen this elsewhere, the emails from the Center all
end up in your Clutter folder, never to be seen again, I'm going to
share this with you here.

The
College's first virtual career fair kicks off in 21 days! But, did you
know that you can start scheduling 1:1 with employers TODAY! That’s
right, Handshakes new virtual platform allows you to create your
schedule for the event ahead of time! There are capacity limits for the
information sessions so you should definitely RSVP NOW if its a company
you are really interested in.
***Keep checking back for 1:1 availability and new sessions as many employers are still entering sessions/schedules***
Head over to the fair you are interested in attending (links below) and Register to Attend. From there you will be able to search the list of attending employers and starting signing up for sessions and 1:1 schedules!

Engineering Partners Showcase | Tues, Sep 15 | Noon - 3:00 pm | This career fair will feature our most committed and connected employer partners that are looking for interns, co-op and full time candidates across all engineering majors. MSU Virtual Engineering Exchange 2020 | September 11 - 18 | Seven Sessions (by Major) | The Engineering Exchange is a career fair that encourages networking between students, alumni, and recruiting professionals that will open the door to co-op, intern, and full-time opportunities. MSU Virtual Engineered in the Mitten Exchange 2020 | October 2nd | Noon - 4pm | This Career Fair will highlight a range of summer and fall internship / co-op experiences, as well as full-time gigs following graduation across the state.

1. Get your resume WHO Ready. You can have your cover letter, resume, or other professional documents reviewed by a member of the Center's full time staff or trained student Career Peers. Just upload it using this Google form. 2. Keep searching and applying for positions on Handshake. Check out the Hottest Jobs on our twitter @MSUENGINEERS. 3. Also, check out Kyle’s webinar Job Search Tips with Kyle 4. Apply for our Resume Books. This year we will be sending employer resume books prior to Engineering Exchange. ReplyDeleteThe College of Engineering has been planning new ways to help you connect with employers virtually! Using Handshake students will be able pre-schedule 1:1 or group sessions with employers and connect through video, audio or chat!
We have also separated our main fall career fair (Engineering Exchange) out to 7 different sessions by major. This means you have a career fair just for you!
(BTW you can attend any of the other sessions!)
Session 6 | Civil + Environmental Engineering | Fri, Sep 18, 10 am - 1 pm | sponsored by Commonwealth Associates Inc., DTE Energy, Fishbeck, Goodwin & Marshall, HNTB Corporation, Power Construction Company, LLC, ROWE Professional Services Company, and Ruby+Associates, Inc.
Head over to the fair and Register to Attend. From there you will be able to search the list of attending employers and starting signing up for sessions and 1:1 schedules!
1. Click the Available Sessions tab in the upper-left of the page, below the fair title and date/time. (Tip: You can use the filters on this page to narrow down the displayed list of employers!)
2. When you locate an employer that you'd like to sign up for a session or 1:1 with, look for the information to appear below the employer name and description.
3. Click on the name of the session or 1:1 you'd like to sign up for. (Your profile privacy may need to be adjusted in order to sign up for sessions.)
