Weekly message 11/8/2020
Hi all,
I know I'm late sending this out and I apologize.
I know it's been a long week, especially with assignments/projects due in ENE 480, 481, 483 and whatever other classes you may have. Hopefully, the grace periods have been helpful and alleviated at least some of the stress.
This week we will study adsorption processes. I just posted the notes. I apologize for the delay.
I also posted the reading on wastewater treatment from Principles of Environmental Engineering and Science (4th ed., Masten and Davis) in a folder on LON-CAPA called Supplemental Readings.
Don't forget to answer the participation question for this past weekend. Because of all the work that you have due, I set the question to close on Monday at 11:59 pm.
On Tuesday, our guest speaker will be Bryan Townsend from Black and Veatch Engineering. Bryan will speak on UV disinfection in water treatment.
The assignment on disinfection is due on Wednesday at 11:59 pm. However, if you need additional time, please let me know.
And now for a silly question: why did the turkeys cross the road? (Photo taken on my walk on Saturday. Don't worry, I wasn't driving and we didn't hit any. But if you need a turkey for Thanksgiving, I know where you can find one, or two, or three...)
Have a great week.
Dr. Masten
